BIG DOG AND THE COOL CATS
Colorado’s favorite blues singer, Mary Russell, joins up with Big Dog and Cool Cats to give you an explosive night of blues, blues/rock and good old rock n roll. Add to it the slide guitar of Jamie
Polisher, the horn section and some of the front ranges best musicians and vocalist and you’ll be ready to dance, reminisce and have a ball! With Robb Candler on guitar and vocals, Billy Brennan on drums and vocals, Rolan Turbot on keys and vocals, Jamie Polisher on guitar and vocals, our own version of the Nashville horn section ( Bob Rebholtz on Sax, Mr. Snodgrass on “ bone “) and Ed Mazur on bass and vocals. Adding Mary’s soulful and high energy singing to Jamie ‘s lead vocals and we just turned it up a nothch….let the party begin! Members of the band have played with such famous groups as, Firefall, Pure Prairie League, Asleep at the Wheel, Buckwheat Zydeco, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters, Paul Soderman and
The Boulder Blues Band. Members have played or toured with, Stephen Stills, Dan Fogelberg, Vernon Reed, Joe Walsh, The Rippingtons, The Beach Boys, and more. They play the music of early and late sixties and seventies, with some 50’s thrown in for the fun of it. If you like songs like, “ Mustang Sally, Good Lovin, Honkytonk Women, Oh Darlin, Gimme Some Lovin and Knock on Wood, you will love this fun filled band. Covering the Beatles, Stones, Allman Brothers, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder and so many more. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes, you will need them!
