Q. What does Nissi's mean?
A. Nissi's, pronounced “nee-sees,” is an ancient Hebrew word from the Bible which means "Banner"-- from "Jehovah Nissi" -- meaning literally, "The Lord my Banner."

Q. What is Bridgetown?
A. Bridgetown is the building that is home to Nissi's on the first floor and The Creative Alliance, a strategic marketing and public relations firm, on the second floor.

Q. What kind of music does Nissi's have?
A. We feature a variety of musical genres from a cappella to blues, bluegrass, jazz, comedy, sing alongs, R&B, world, acoustic, to classic rock and standards. You can hear samples of Nissi’s music on the homepage and on each of the individual artist’s bio pages. The type of artists and music we feature will mostly reflect our customers' preferences as we continue to learn what they enjoy.

Q. Will I feel comfortable being at Nissi's?
A. This is where we shine. We are not a loud college bar, a standing-only club, or a hotel lobby. Nissi's was designed to serve people who want to enjoy music and entertainment in a relaxing, yet vibrant supper club environment. Everyone gets a seat, and all seats are good. If you want to move around, you can try our cafe, or outdoor, smoker-friendly patio. And Nissi's is renowned for having a great dance floor where adults of all ages are often seen dancing to the music!

Q. How much does Nissi's charge for their live entertainment?
A. Cover charges average only about the price of a movie. Order online in advance and save a couple of dollars per ticket. There is always a cover charge for the main act, which plays on stage from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30–10:00 p.m. Seating is usually set in advance to ensure every ticket buyer gets a seat. When you order your tickets, mention you will be dining with us and we'll do our best to get you priority seating.

Q. Can I buy tickets at the door?
A. Only on the day of the show, and after 4 p.m. You can also call for seating availability the day of the show after 4 p.m. at 303-665-2757. We do not take reservations, and will only hold a ticket holder's seats until showtime, or 7:30 p.m. Plan in advance and save money by buying online. Tickets are non-refundable.

Q. Do you serve food?
A. Do we ever! Nissi's is known for its award-winning, chef-prepared small plates cuisine or “tapas,” which is smaller portions of tasty food, at smaller prices. We also serve special entrees. Happy Hour starts at 5:00 p.m. and dinner is served from 6:30 p.m. to around 9:30 p.m. Please support Nissi's by having dinner with us.

Q. Can I eat dinner before and during an evening performance?
A. Yes. In fact, our menu was designed with that in mind. You can order throughout the evening until 9-9:30 p.m. We even have a beautiful, outdoor patio that backs to a park where you can enjoy dinner and drinks from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (weather permitting).

Q. What if I am having dinner and don't want to watch the show?
A. You can always dine in our front room café (or outdoor patio, weather permitting) from 5:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. without tickets for a show.

A. The patio seats around 35 people and is available anytime weather permits after 5 p.m. You can enjoy the music while you kick back and enjoy the beauty of Forest Park.

Q. Can we brings kids to Nissi's?
A. Yes, but use good judgment. Please do not bring children under age 13 if you cannot control them, as many people come to Nissi's to enjoy a date night, or to spend a night away from the kids! Some shows will be more appropriate for a younger age, as well. Please be considerate of others.

Q. How do I know what is being planned and who will be playing?
A. This website is the best way to stay abreast of our popular shows. Most of our performers are booked well in advance, so we recommend purchasing tickets early. You can also sign up to get our Nissi's Events Guide newspaper that comes out each month, and/or email updates, which are delivered weekly. Lastly, our front doors and our bistro plasma screens will have a schedule showing what’s happening at Nissi’s.

Q. Does Nissi's give back to the community?
A. Yes. Nissi's is truly a gathering place for the entire community, where people can come and enjoy a variety of wonderful entertainment acts and great food. Nissi's gives back by providing a good place for teens and others to work and learn music, sound, video, recording, and art. Nissi's also features high school jazz concerts as fundraisers and other non-profit promotions and events.

Q. What is G. Brown & Friends?
A. On certain Friday or Saturday evenings, deejay and author/personality G. Brown will have a Colorado music legend play and share stories in a unique and intimate, one-on-one setting. Artists have included Firefall's Jock Bartley, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band's John McEuen, Big Head Todd, Gretchen Peters, Otis Taylor, and many more. The audience will have the opportunity to meet the artists, purchase G.’s book, and get autographed CDs from these special guests.

Q. How do I find out about booking business meetings or having private parties Nissi's?
A. During the day from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Nissi's can host private business meetings, workshops, and special functions. Nissi's also books its main venue on certain evenings or weekend afternoons for private events, including plays, recitals, birthday parties, bar/bat-mitzvahs, weddings and Christmas parties. Check out our special events section. To book your event, email Sonja Knaisch at or call her at 720-341-3829 for more information.

Q. How can we support Nissi's?
A. A few ways. Nissi's makes money only when our guests dine with us before and during the concerts. We also host business events during the day and select private parties on weekend days or at night. We have advertising sponsors; a group of businesses who support live music and want to help Nissi's succeed. We cherish these great companies for their financial support. In turn we give them the best advertising and sponsorship package in the area. Please support them as well.

All ticket revenue goes to our artists, and Nissi's does more promotion for our artists than any venue in Colorado.

Call Teresa at 303-579-9135 if you are interested in a sponsorship or booking a private party or event.

Thank you!
