LYNN PATRICK
Guitarist Lynn Patrick will be performing with bassist Chris Engleman
and percussionist Christian Teele.
Patrick has self-produced several award winning instrumental albums and
iis now working on her fifth one. Her music is currently getting airplay
on: the Weather Channel, Sirius XM, Pandora, Music Choice, NPR and many
other stations around the country. Patrick's CDs, On the Wind, When She
Dreams and Winnie's Guitar have all won international awards with the
Independent Music Awards and Just Plain Folks Awards. Sponsored by
Musician's Atlas and Border Bookstores, judges included Peter Gabriel,
Tom Waits, Cindi Lauper, Suzanne Vega, Wynonna, David Grisman, Patti
Loveless and many others. On the Wind was nominated Best Instrumental
Album of the Year with the Indie Acoustic Project. Patrick's CDs were
also nominated Best Acoustic Album of the Year with KUNC, 91.5.
Lynn has performed in many different venues ranging from Red Rocks
Ampitheatre, Taste of Colorado and Lyons Folks Festival to ski areas in
Vail, Steamboat and Breckenridge.
Lynn Patrick was born and raised beside a lake amidst the orange groves
of central Florida. She was 16 when she began teaching herself to play guitar.
Two years later, she was writing original music and performing in local >clubs, arts festivals and colleges. She continued to perform in
Tallahassee, supporting herself with her music while finishing a
humanities degree at Florida State University. After graduating, she
went on to play professionally in Boston until moving to Colorado in 1984.
