POLARITY
While Pete has been a saxophone sideman with the likes of
the Temptations, the Four Tops, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole,
he enjoys being a leader of his own group.
Polarity is a new band with a distinctive contemporary
sound. featuring Pete Lewis and Clare Church; reeds,
Patrick Lewis; drums,
Eric Wiggs
; guitar, Ben Markley;
piano, and
Ron Bland
bass
The band performs original compositions and
arrangements of tunes by Sting, The Yellowjackets, Pat
Metheney, and Don Grolnick. The band is rooted in jazz but
will fuse together popular styles and grooves with jazz
harmonies and improvisation.
