Stomping boots and stirring grooves from the roots tradition, stripped down songs from the folk tradition, and a stage show that inspires. Scott entered the Americana/Acoustic Roots scene in early 2006 and began touring and writing songs for his newest album “MOVING STONES.” Since then travels have taken him from festival stages, to intimate house concerts, college campuses, theatres, and clubs. He has opened for Chris Smither, Peter Mulvey, Over the Rhine, the Samples, and has received glowing reviews from artists such as Vance Gilbert, Billy Jonas, Pat Flynn, Taylor Mesple, Maggie Simpson, and Kreg Viesselman. Von has won various songwriting awards: winner of the Swallow Hill Music Festival, top 20 at the Lyons Folk Festival, chosen to compose an original song for an Olympic Torch ceremony, and placement on national acoustic CD samplers, including a 2007 Sundance Film Festival sampler. One man, one guitar & the crowd loved him...” - U.S Olympic torch committee "A burning soul, big grooves, and grace under pressure…"
