TRACE BUNDY
The music of guitarist Trace Bundy—a.k.a. the "Acoustic Ninja"—is truly innovative, using a variety of techniques such as harmonics, right-hand tapping, slapping, percussive, upside-down, looping, multiple capos, and lightning-fast picking. You've really got to see it to completely understand. This guitar wiz, hailing from Boulder, Colorado, offers a dazzling display of fretboard acrobatics that have earned him many accolades and awards, such as first place in "Guitars on the River," a fingerstyle guitar competition in Colorado. While you are being assaulted (in the best sense of the word) sonically, you'll find the visual aspect of the show to be equally captivating. Witnessing the blur of fingers and how he extracts the sounds he does from his instrument has many in the audience dropping their jaws and shaking their heads.
